  HOW TO SIGN UP TODAY: 

  
1. Log in to MyMusicStaff from www.HarmonyRoad.us.             
         
   1. If you have forgotten your password, DO NOT REGISTER! PLEASE REQUEST A NEW PASSWORD. 
         
   2. You are already registered if you are receiving this email — and registering again will not work — and just make extra work and confusion for me.
         
   3. All students in group lessons: please coordinate with your classmates and sign up for the same hour if at all possible. And plan to attend both hours of the performance if you can.
         
   4. Private students: sign up for one of the hours. And plan to attend both hours of the performance if you can.
       
  
2. In the left side navigation, click on CALENDAR
  
3. Above the calendar, there is a button labeled TODAY. Use the arrow to the right to click your way to Saturday June 2.                  
   
  
4. Scroll down to the 3:00pm time. You will see two choices: 3:00pm and 4:30pm
  
5. Click on the hour you want to perform. Scroll down until you see a green check mark next to the word REGISTER.                  
   
  
6. Click on REGISTER and you're all set.
  
7. NOW: Please read all the information below so you and your child are prepared to participate. Thanks!

  YOU ARE INVITED: (along with the whole family and friends)    

  Everyone is invited to stay for both Act #1 and Act #1 of the playing parties — in fact I want you to be there for both acts. 

      Having two acts (or two separate shows) means that if you really cannot stay for two hours of music, there is a graceful way to skip half the show. 

  Please plan to stay for the entire hour that you sign up for unless you have cleared it with me in advance. Nothing is worse than being the last performer and all the people you watched play before you are no longer are in the audience.

  WHAT TO PLAY FOR THE SHOW:

  If we have not already talked about it in your class, please pick two recent pieces that you play very well. Practice them extra and be prepared to perform them at your next class/lesson.

  
• Double check that I have your name spelled correctly, and if you already told me in class what you are playing, be sure I have the correct pieces listed. Take a look at this view-only Google spreadsheet.    
        
  • If we have a class/lesson before June 2, we'll add or correct your information then.
        
  • If we do NOT have a class/lesson before June 2, please email me with corrections.

  PLAYING PARTY DETAILS YOU NEED TO KNOW:            

  DATE: Saturday, June 2, 2018

  TIME: 

  Party Act #1: 3:00-4:00

                Potluck/Oreo Buffet: 4:00-4:30

                Party Act #2:4:30-5:30

                Potluck/Oreo Buffet: 5:30-5:45

  Clean up: 5:45-6:00 while eating the left over Oreos.

  LOCATION AND DIRECTIONS:

  LOCATION: Susan Hayward School of Dancing in Montara 

  Directions:

  
1. From Highway 1, turn east on 2nd Street across from Costanero. 
  
2. Turn right on Main Street.
  
3. Turn left on left on 6th Street.
  
4. Turn right on Le Conte
  
5. Turn right into the parking lot. Please park efficiently so we can fit as many cars as possible into the lot.
  
6. Overflow parking: Turn right out of the parking lot and continue up Le Conte.
  
7. Turn right on 7th Street and park perpendicular to the fence.
  
8. DO NOT PARK ON LE CONTE
  
9. Please be very respectful of the neighbors so we can continue to have events here.
  
10. Enter through the parking lot and down the stairs on the left side of the building.
  
11. Believe these directions and not the ones you get on Google. Do not enter from 6th Street. That door is locked.

  WHAT TO WEAR AND BRING:

  WHAT TO WEAR: Dress up — it’s a celebration!

  WHAT TO BRING: A little something yummy to share — but please don’t bring Oreos. And bring a serving utensil if you need one. Definitely bring friends and family! Oh....bring your music with your pieces bookmarked.

  People have asked for more guidance about what to bring. A few ideas: plate of cheese and crackers; bowl of strawberries; veggies and dip; chips and guacamole; pita bread and hummus; pre-sliced fruit bowl. Hope this helps....

  WHAT HARMONY ROAD PROVIDES: Plastic utensils, paper plates, napkins, plain and sparkling waters and the TRADITIONAL OREO BUFFET.

  VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:

  VOLUNTEERS: Four parking lot volunteers are needed to help make the best use of the parking lot and to be sure people know where to park if the lot gets full. We’ll be sure your student is not performing while you are on parking lot duty. I need two from 2:45-3:15 and two from 3:45-4:15. Teenagers make great volunteers — even if they are not music students. Please email me directly if you can volunteer (info@HarmonyRoad.us)
